Whenever that book is brought to the assembly ground it is said that offenders are likely to be punished on that day but the problem is that about 80% of the students in the school most have bridged the school rule in one way or the other. You don't get to know you are an offender until your name is mentioned in that book and trust me Adamu Baba is no forgiver of anyone who bridges the school rule. If your name is found in that book then trust me your punishment is certain.

We all go to the assembly ground with the fear of being called for one offense or the other. It could even be an unconscious act but the fact that it is in no line with the school rule punishment is certain.

I came back from class oneday yo discover my mattress is nowhere to be found back then in school we call it shifting the act moving one’s property from the right position to another position we don't call it stealing we just gave it a name to justify the act since close to 80% of the students do it, it can be bucket, cup, plate and so on and so forth and this is because you tend to find your property someday and without much argument it will be returned at that point the person using it has no right over it if you have a concrete evidence to tell it belongs to you.

So when i discovered my mattress is not there I went in search of it but did not find it anywhere so as usual i had to move somebody's own but the whole incident turned not to work in my favour as the owner found it that same day I took it and the owner happened to be one of Principal’s boys what have I gotten myself into as I know I am in a deep mess with that single act. Because I know the boy might likely report the case to his guardian in school who happens to be the principal so I decided to follow up the boy pleading that he doesn't report the case to the principal.

He agreed that my mind wasn't at rest until we got to the assembly ground and my name was not mentioned in the principal's book. That was when I was fully assured that the boy kept his promise. That would have been the most embarrassing moment of my life in school.

Cada vez que se lleva ese libro al recinto de la asamblea, se dice que es probable que los infractores sean castigados ese día, pero el problema es que alrededor del 80% de los estudiantes de la escuela han incumplido la regla escolar de una forma u otra. No sabes que eres un delincuente hasta que tu nombre se menciona en ese libro y, créeme, Adamu Baba no perdona a nadie que incumpla la regla escolar. Si tu nombre aparece en ese libro, créeme, tu castigo es seguro.

Todos vamos al recinto de la reunión con el miedo de ser llamados por una infracción u otra. Incluso podría ser un acto inconsciente, pero el hecho de que no está en línea con el castigo de las reglas escolares es seguro.

Un día regresé de clase y descubrí que mi colchón no se encontraba por ningún lado. En ese entonces, en la escuela lo llamamos cambiar el acto de mover la propiedad de la posición correcta a otra posición. No lo llamamos robar, solo le dimos un nombre para justificar. el acto ya que cerca del 80% de los estudiantes lo hacen, puede ser balde, vaso, plato y así sucesivamente y esto se debe a que tiendes a encontrar tu propiedad algún día y sin mucha discusión te la devolverán en ese momento. La persona que lo utiliza no tiene ningún derecho sobre él si tiene pruebas concretas que demuestren que le pertenece.

Entonces, cuando descubrí que mi colchón no estaba allí, fui a buscarlo pero no lo encontré por ningún lado, así que, como de costumbre, tuve que mover el de alguien, pero todo el incidente no funcionó a mi favor ya que el dueño lo encontró ese mismo día. Lo tomé y resultó que el dueño era uno de los chicos del director. ¿En qué me metí? Sé que estoy en un profundo lío con ese único acto. Como sé que el niño probablemente podría informar el caso a su tutor en la escuela, que resulta ser el director, decidí hacer un seguimiento del niño suplicándole que no informara el caso al director.

Estuvo de acuerdo en que mi mente no estuvo tranquila hasta que llegamos al lugar de la asamblea y mi nombre no fue mencionado en el libro del director. Fue entonces cuando tuve plena seguridad de que el chico cumplió su promesa. Ese habría sido el momento más vergonzoso de mi vida en la escuela.
