One Of My Favourite Restaurants - The Food Is So Good!

 

Supposed to be date night

It was an evening in January where I hired a babysitter so we could have a nice dinner and date night again. The last time we went to this restaurant is was clear that it was a bit more expensive than most places but also served higher quality food and was worth it. We were really looking forward to it. Just an hour before we'd leave, and were already close to being ready, the babysitter had to cancel.

Instead of cancelling the whole reservation, we decided to just take our daughter and hope they had an extra chair, if it was going to be an issue, we'd decide where to go later.

No problem at all

Although I knew it was possible they reserved a table at a place where an extra chair was going to be impossible, due to my own request in the reservation, we were greeted friendly and it was not an issue at all to change things up. We were seated downstairs instead and an extra chair was added to the table.

Nice ambiance

The restaurant has a high level of ambiance, and I really love going there even though it's pricey and not a tapas restaurant. They have good portion sized meals to share so that you don't have to eat a whole plate yourself which is nice and they also have a lot of vegan options for those that prefer to eat that.

The food

This time we ordered the spring rolls first because the other time we went there, we didn't and we saw that they are the Vietnamese ones we normally love and had to try them:
 

Although the presentation was nice, we had much better and we would probably not order these again. They weren't bad either but just not as good as we hoped.
 

This one though, that's another story. I shared it in a previous post as well and this time (again) we went for the salmon tartar.. there's a sublime dressing and you can find avocado and all sorts of other things that make your mouth explode from the sensations while eating it. It's really light and SO delicious!

The presentation is lovely too, not even that special I guess but it looks great, doesn't it?

Meanwhile, our daughter also had her own plate with crispy chicken, fried onion and potatoes. The other thing was very similar to a "chicken corn" snack we know in Holland..

It was all very nice!

Dessert

While our daughter was looking forward to her chocolate ice cream dessert:

It's very rare that I drink but when we're here, I drink one. It's that great!

A nice evening

Even though our daughter had to join us on date night, such is life, she behaved perfectly well and we had a good time and looked back on a great evening and some sublime food.

I hope we can go there again soon, but it's one of these places where we only go if we have some special occasion or celebration.
